We call it "Bashert" loosely translated it means fate.

Some call it Serendipity.

I decided to start a new blog over here where you will be able to read posts about my genealogical search for my family and its history.

As you are aware, my books all involve research and one day some of what I find will make it into my book-art.

Thanks to all who commented on my last post, I really appreciated it.

So come along for the ride if the subject interests you.

As was the case with my art, Bashert has been playing a major role in my search.

Hope you enjoy....

I've just been and read your story Judy, it wouldn't let me comment so I've come back here. It's another amazing case, give and you shall receive, I don't think this will be the end of the story. I look forward to the next stage.

Hi Ro,
I think you have to be a member there to "leave a note" which is a comment. Thanks, pretty interesting huh.

I think I've said before that I'll go where ever to read what you have to say so I've 'joined' so I can comment on your new blog.

How are your hands and arms? I keep thinking of you and hoping you're getting better.

All the best, Carol xx

hey Judy
i was listening to our local abc radio station yesterday and there was a visitor speaking about an upcoming exhibition called "mameloshn" at the melbourne jewish museum. http://www.jewishmuseum.com.au/index.htm
i thought of you. it seems that the exhibition is centred around melbourne's yiddish speaking community and the peculiarities that melbourne's yiddish language has developed over time. sounded fascinating - hope you might get a chance to visit if you are mooching this way! (btw, im not at all connected to the gallery, just follow your work with interest and feel like you might like this!)
cheers
samm

I am a new blogger and sometimes find myself caught up in the numbers, but then I remind myself that I am doing this because I really enjoy it.

Hi, Judy;

It was nice to see you in the chat to(day)night.
I just hope I didn't offend you when I said that Julie sounded like herself. I didn't intend to imply that other people were being insincere! She's just one of the people I have a little history with and could hear her talking through her comments.

Take care!
