Been very busy working on a piece for a new book
Lots of techniques involved, even had to make use of this industrial sewing maching
Challenging myself, pushing the envelope, as it were.
Working under a magnifying glass to engrave an entire story
Challenging one-self can be gratifying but scary at the same time too

Challenging yourself is always scary but fun at the same time. It's so great to amaze yourself, don't you think? Nice to follow the process. I'm curious how it will develop.

This is day two of my trying to 'release' myself back into my work again after an enforced hiatus, so I'm really grateful to you for sharing this. I feel much better for hearing that you feel this way too. Thank you! May I quote you on my blog?

Man oh man! Engraving under a magnifying glass? what an endeavour1 And using an industrial sewing machine. You certainly do challenge your skills don't you? Looking forward to viewing what evolves.
With pleasure Jennifer
I can't imagine you ever NOT challenging yourself. It seems to be the way you operate, and it shows in all of your beautiful and deep work.

It must be tiny. I work unfer a magnifying glass all the time. I"s easy once you get the hang of it. I'm sure you already have. Sorry to hear about your arm, I didn't know you hurt it. I pray it heals fast.

Good to see you back. xoxo
From viewing your past works- I know this one will be personal, special and creative-- and I agree about embarking on a new project - can be challenging and scary at the same time- but that is where the joy is found.
i am loving these tiny details! soo can't wait to see more. your work always amazes me.
Challenges make you discover things about yourself that you never really knew. They're what make the instrument stretch-what make you go beyond the norm.
