"Whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world"
(Jerusalem Talmud, Sanhedrin 4:8)

Our art community has been hit with tragic news...

We have been saddened by this news & we are all in shock.

JoAnnA Pierotti (who is recovering from Breast Cancer herself) & her husband Ron are facing a very difficult time right now~ They have given her husband, Ron, a month to live if he doesn't get a certain type of surgery by this week, for this brain tumor.

If you can help them - please do so, every little bit helps...
Find out more on JoAnna's blog.

i'm so glad to see so many bloggers giving their plight attention. i myself, 18 years ago, went through an unspeakable tragedy and went through it virtually alone. the isolation, fear, stress, shock and uncertainty was almost unbearable. i often think, had i had blog back then and knew some of the amazing people i know today, it would have made it a little easier. i'm also organizing a drive for handmade cards to send off to them. good talking to you yesterday - got to love technology!

Sometimes I wonder about the serendipity in life. I have spent the weekend renewing my first aid cerificates and skills. A weekend of CPR training, bandaging and other assorted skills only to come home and catch up with the world and find out about JoAnnA and Ron. How tragic. Hopefully this click will be the closest I ever come to needing to use the skills I just spent the time renewing.

I too have been following JoAnna's story over the past few years - and using it without names - as an example to my students. We in Australia are so very very blessed that we do not have this health care farce.
What a generous way to support this family Judy.

It's always amazing to me how so many fellow bloggers and artists come together in a time of need for our friends. It's a wonderful thing that you're doing. Thanks.
I also wanted to drop in to say that I referenced you and your art in my blog post today. Stop by if you have a chance.
Thanks again,
Cathy
