18 December 2007

I would like to wish every one of my blogging friends a very Happy Holidays. May you and your families all have a Happy New Year, filled with good health and happiness and lots of creativity.

It has not been quite a year since I started blogging but that being said, I have met the most amazing people via cyber space. I have made some wonderful friends too.

I am so very appreciative to all of you who have commented on my blog and/or artwork. There have been so many times where I have felt overwhelmed by your responses, overwhelmed that people bother to spend the time commenting and emailing me.

I just want you all to know how humbled I am by that and how grateful I feel for those blessings.

There’s a first for everything!

That leads me to those sneak peaks I put up on my blog recently.

For were it not for the encouragement of my fellow blog artists I am not sure that I would have done the following.

I put in a proposal to teach at Art and Soul in Portland in 2008. That is what the sneak peaks were. I am truly honoured and feel very privileged to let you know that my proposal/s was accepted this week.

So America, here I come.

I will be teaching a one day and a two day class.

I sincerely hope to get to meet many of you over there whether it be in my class or whilst you are taking other workshop from the amazing array of talent there.

I am not sure how much I can say or show about the classes yet so just to let you know that the 2 day class is called “Just In Case” and the one day class is called “Ageing Gracefully”.

When I get the ok I will put up some images of those classes.

It’s very exciting really.

CONGRATULATIONS JUDY. Well done, fabulous news. I knew you'd make it. Now you'll have to teach a class here so all of us Aussies can come. I look forward to seeing what you are going to teach.
I've just received my latest book in our ABRR today and have been admiring some more of your fabulous work.
Have a relaxing break and it looks like it's going to be a very successful 2008

First Judy...it's been a pleasure getting to know you this past year. I look forward to a continued friendship in 2008.

Secondly...congratulations on your acceptance to teach at Art & Soul Portland! I know that your classes will sell out the first day! I'm not sure as to whether or not I will be able to attend since I will be leaving for Paris shortly thereafter. I will be teaching again next year at Art & Soul Hampton in May. That one is much easier for me to attend since it's held on the same coastline and only about 1-1/2 hours from my home. Hopefully one day, we will be able to meet in person.

Happy Holidays!

Dear Judy, you are one of a small handful of artists whose work makes me want to reach deeper and demand more of myself on this creative journey we call art.

Wonderful news that you'll be teaching at Art and Soul — not only for yourself but for the people who will have the privilege of studying with you and being around your creative spirit.

"What will you leave?" was a question presented to artists at a recent workshop I attended. You will leave the legacy of your artwork and now, a legacy of learning.

When you land at PDX, please excuse the kidnap posse, they've been instructed to be gentle. Don't know if they'll make it across the border to Canada with you but there are bonus rusty treats and ephemera if they do! What time did you say your flight arrives???

Congratulations & all very well deserved, you have created beautiful pieces and shared inspiration with lots of folks.

Fabulous choices in your themes as well.

Hi Judy, I wish I still lived up in Seattle so that I could also go to Art & Soul... congrats on your classes! I just wanted to thank you for the really nice review you gave me on Amazon. I really appreciate it, especially after a couple not-so-nice ones! I hope you can apply some of the techniques to your own art-I'm sure you'd have fabulous results!

Congratulations Judy!
What great news! its a big steep to start teaching, but you give so much of your self as a bloger and an artist that it will be an easy transition for you!

To be humbled and thankful for ones talent can be a hard walk to walk, but if we can make it with dignity and grace, it is a gift far beyond words~

all the best in 2008 I cannot wait to see you in March!
(The necklace you made is stunning)!
